Abstract

The input and output coupling characteristics of the grounded dielectric slab waveguide corrugated both at ground and film-cover interfaces are investigated using singular perturbation procedure based on multiple scales. Design parameters such as grating length for maximum input and output coupling efficiencies are compared with single grating structures at conductor surface or at film-cover interface.
