Abstract
A double-crystal monochromator is described and the values of the integrated reflection coefficient R for an LiF crystal given for Cu Kα, Ag Kα and Cr Kα emission. The values of R were used to calculate the absolute intensity of emission and in the case of Cu Kα emission results are compared with those obtained by using nickel and iron balanced filters.
