Abstract
In this paper we discuss a problem concerning double cosets in algebraic groups. The discussion will be expository, relying on only basic results from the theory of algebraic groups. We refer the reader to the survey article [18] for an introduction to relevant material on algebraic groups and references to more complete accounts of the subject.
