Abstract

Li3++H2 and B5++H2 collisions are investigated theoretically in a wide range of impact energy (∼ 0.05 - 25 keV/a.m.u.). We present cross sections for double electron capture into autoionizing states (DCAI) of Li+ and B3+. From these cross sections, we demonstrate that Li3+ is the best candidate to perform interferometry experiments using H2 as double slits as first proposed by Barrachina and Žitnik [1].
