Abstract
This paper presents a double band multiple-input multi-output (MIMO) antenna design for UWB applications, WLAN 2.4 GHz, WiMAX 3.3 – 3.6 GHz, Internet of Things (IoT) and LTE 9/24 38/41 48/52 bands. Two circular patches form the MIMO antenna array with an “I” shaped EBG structure inserted between the patch antennas to improve the isolation between elements. The The low frequency band spectrum is from 1.03 GHz to 5.03 GHz, and the high frequency band spectrum is from 6.13 GHz to 11.62 GHz. The maximum isolation between ports at 3.8 GHz and 6.9 GHz are 7 dB and 8 dB, respectively. The antenna gain at 7 GHz reaches 4.05 dB.
