Abstract
The main purpose of this research was to study at vocational colleges in Eastern Anatolia Region to find out the problems faced by the students. This study, in general, covers the problems of the students attending vocational schools along with the problem of those students who are attending vocational schools in Eastern Anatolia Region and mainly aims to be informative and guiding about the both general and regional content of ongoing problems. To serve for this purpose, core data was gathered and analyzed based on the qualitative research techniques by using focus groups and in-depth interviews. Findings that are related to the problems and needs of social and physical environment, courses, faculty, housing, transport and leisure, and a sense of belonging have been discovered. Based on those findings, various factors arising from regional differences in the heart of the problems faced by the students has been determined. However, along with that, social and physical environment are considered as a group of factors shaping the existing problems and affecting the student's learning processes. Also as a result of the information gained through qualitative data collection and analysis techniques, main factors, related to problematic areas that most of the students commonly encountered, and a lot of elements, affecting those factors, are detected and solution for those problems are presented
