Abstract
Dothistroma rhabdoclinis, a new coelomycete on needles of Pseudotsuga menziesii is described. The fungus is associated, possibly as a hyperparasite, with Rhabdocline pseudotsugae, the causal agent of Rhabdocline needle-cast of Douglas fir. The presence of D. rhabdoclinis interferes with and sometimes completely inhibits the production of ascomata of R. pseudotsugae. The cultural and morphological characters of the new fungus are compared with the only other known member of the genus, Dothistroma septospora.
