Dose intercomparison for 60Co, 10 MeV electrons and bremsstrahlung radiation using glutamine (spectrophotometric readout) dosimeter at different irradiation temperatures

Abstract

This paper gives the results of dose intercomparison for 60Co gamma, 10 MeV electron and bremsstrahlung radiation using glutamine (spectrophotometric readout) dosimeter. Both gamma and electron irradiations were done at Riso National Laboratory, Denmark. Gamma irradiation was done at IAEA laboratory, Vienna and bremsstrahlung irradiation was done as part of IAEA CRP programme. The irradiation temperature during these experiments varied from 15 to 43°C and corrections were therefore applied for the irradiation temperatures. These intercomparisons give acceptable results using gamma calibration, which indicate that gamma calibration is valid also for other types of radiation.
