Abstract
LD50 values expressed in µ g/insect for mixed-sex populations of Diabrotica undecimpunctata howardi Barber were: carbofuran 0.0783; parathion 0.1413; phorate 0.4807; diazinon 0.7431; Landrin® (3,4,5-trimethylphenyl methylcarbamate, 75% 2,3,5-trimethylphenyl methylcarbamate, 18%) 1.0305; fonophos 1.4886; and aldrin 6.8306. On a live tissue weight basis, females required 51.2% more phorate and 114.5% more diazinon for 50% mortality than did males.
