Abstract
The US Department of State (DoS) has taken delivery of more than 17,000 smart-card-based employee badges. The cards and readers were supplied by XTec and ImageWare Systems. As a subcontractor of Northrop Grumman Information Technology, XTec was selected to provide a smart card issuance and production solution along with secured smart card access control readers.
