Abstract

In the rich heritage of the former Great House of the carmelist in Seville were two paintings by Murillo, until it was sold in the English collecting shortly before the Napoleonic invasion. Maybe that’s why they were going unnoticed in the early twentieth. In this article it´s intended to specify what canvas were bought by the Carmelites to Murillo, and the vicissitudes through which they passed each of them.
