Abstract
Presents an obituary for Dorothy Hansen Eichorn, who passed away on March 22, 2018. Eichorn was a noted developmental psychologist and organizational leader. She was involved in several notable studies in development, but the most significant was probably her role in the Berkeley Growth Study, which continued for five decades. Dorothy was active in several professional organizations, including the American Psychological Association (APA), where she served on its Board of Directors, as well as president of APA Division 7 (Developmental Psychology). She also served as president of the Western Psychological Association. But her most important organizational contribution came through the Society for Research in Child Development (SRCD).
