Abstract

The Dordogne watershed is undergoing major upheavals, with global warming likely to accentuate the long-term effects. The stakes are numerous for this rural territory, largely dependent on economic and social activities related to water (tourism, hydro-electricity, agriculture …). “Dordogne 2050” was launched in 2018 taking inspiration from the approach of the urban project extended to the large territory. Unlike foresight exercises carried out or underway in neighboring basins, it is less a question of prolonging climate trends than of sketching a project whose water constitutes the backbone.
