Abstract

Continuous recording of the frequency of the 5 Mc/s C.W. transmission M.S.F. Rugby, has enabled the effects produced by travelling disturbances on the phase height of the reflection levels of both magneto-ionic components to be evaluated. It has been possible to determine the velocity of some of the disturbances and to resolve complex phenomena such as multiple splitting without recourse to pulse methods.
