Abstract

AbstractThe first donor‐stabilized silylenes with guanidinato ligands, compounds 4 and 6, were synthesized and structurally characterized in the solid state and in solution. As demonstrated by single‐crystal X‐ray diffraction studies, compound 4 contains a bidentate and a monodentate guanidinato ligand of the type [iPrNC(NiPr2)NiPr]–, and compound 6 contains the bidentate guanidinato ligand [ArNC(NMe2)NAr]– (Ar = 2,6‐diisopropylphenyl) and the monodentate amido ligand [(Me3Si)2N]–. Both silicon(II) complexes exist also in solution.
