Abstract

Abstract Details of the stratigraphy of the Nummulitic (Tertiary) of the south flank of the Pyrenees (Spain) are reviewed, and the history of the range during that time is outlined. Preliminary orogenic movements occurred in the lower Lutetian; the major folding took place at the end of the Oligocene or the beginning of the Miocene.
