Abstract

Despite the fact that work meets important financial, psychological, and social needs, older people who lose their vision do not return to employment. This article describes ways in which people who are blind and visually impaired succeed vocationally without sight. Resources for increasing employment opportunities are provided. Client choice and the presentation of a wide variety of alternatives are emphasized.
