Abstract

Lactating mothers face a variety of challenges including maintaining a sufficient milk supply. Although there are a number of behavioral and other approaches to helping lactating mothers increase their milk, as a final option, pharmaceutical intervention for lactating mothers to increase milk production is a viable option. Domperidone, which is used in Canada and other parts of the world but is not yet available in the U.S., is worth exploring for lactating women.
