Abstract
The address of God as Father is widespread in the Pauline corpus . But there are only a handful of places where talk of God the Father not only remains in the formulaic realm. One of the few passages is 2 Cor 6.16 to 18, which from the Book of Revelation-apart-the only New Testament evidence of the least known in the Creed, the Almighty 'offers once. However, even this passage is generally recognized as secondary. So the authors first investigate the fundamental question of the position of 2nd Corinthians letter within the Pauline corpus and search to locate the pericope more precisely in the context of the letter. Then they analyze the intertextual references from 2 Cor 6.16 to 18 and interpret the pericope. Finally it should be mentioned that this pericope fits excellently into the overall Pauline theology.
