Abstract

Hot water consumption for houses in the developed and developing communities of Johannesburg is determined with measurements over a period of one year. The results of two types of measurement are presented: firstly, hot water consumption per person per day for the different months of a year; secondly, hourly hot water consumption per person per day as a function of summer weekdays, summer weekends, winter weekdays and winter weekends. © 1997 by John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.
