Abstract

The temperature and field dependencies of the velocity of domain wall propagation have been measured in the range of temperatures 5–300 K in amorphous Fe65B15Si15C5 glass-coated microwires. The domain wall velocity within the experimental range of magnetic fields (65–100 A/m) and temperatures (5–300 K) was found between 35 and 65 m/s. Consequently, the domain wall mobility was estimated from these dependencies. The critical field for the domain wall propagation is below the switching field reflecting the existence of an energy barrier for the domain wall depinning.
