Abstract

A numerical model of the dynamics of a domain wall moving in the vicinity of the single surface of a semi-infinite crystal with perpendicular anisotropy is presented. Three different modes of motion are found: stationary motion, generation and propagation of a single horizontal Bloch line and a nonuniform precession mode. The effect of the motion of the domain wall on the shape of its surface is discussed and the possibility of a partial experimental verification of the results is proposed.
