Abstract

In this study, we intend to explore the Friedmann–Robertson–Walker (FRW) metric and an axially symmetric space-time in the presence of a thick domain walls in the framework of f(R, T) theory of gravitation, where R is the Ricci scalar and T is the trace of the energy–momentum tensor. Exact solution of the field equations of the f(R, T) theory are obtained with the help of linearly varying deceleration parameter for the FRW metric and constant deceleration parameter as well as the condition shear scalar proportional to expansion scalar for an axially symmetric space time. It is observed that domain walls could exist in the early epoch of the universe and they will be vanished at large time. It is also found that the universe is stable. Some physical properties of the investigated models are discussed in detail.
