Abstract

The average domain size, the average grain size, the initial permeability and coercive force were measured on industrial purity permalloy and perminvar materials as a function of annealing temperature. The domain structure was found to be controlled mainly by the grain structure and the thickness of the samples. The changes of the average grain and domain size showed well-separable ranges in their temperature dependence and the magnetic properties proved optimal in middle-temperature range.
