Abstract

Domain growth is studied for a conserved order parameter when the interfacial particle current dominates the material transport in a two-dimensional system. A simple geometrical model suggests that the typical domain size increases as ${t}^{1/4}$ for long times. This behavior is supported by Monte Carlo simulations performed in a half-filled lattice gas taking the first- and second-neighbor jumps and interactions into consideration.
