Abstract

We have studied domain growth dynamics in photo-induced phase transition phenomena on RbMn[Fe(CN)6] by measuring the time developments of the Raman peaks of the CN stretching modes, which are sensitive to the boundaries between high temperature and low temperature domains. Under the high excitation intensity, we observe abrupt increase and slow decrease of the boundary. This indicates creation of the small domains and subsequent growth process with domain aggregation. Experimental results are explained qualitatively by the mean field theory with the pair valence states of Fe and Mn pairs taking into account of instability of domain boundary.
