Abstract
The Pilgrimage Church of the Assumption of our Lady in the town of Stara Boleslav (Bohemia) was reconstructed in the second decade of the seventeenth century by two Italian architects Jacopo de Vaccani and Giovanni Maria Filippi. As there were not much money, the local priest John Christoph Kilian requested financial help on 2 February 1616 addressed to the Spanish King Philip III, aided by the Spanish Ambassador Baltasar de Zuniga, resident in Prague. The author of this article found the correspondence about this petition in the Spanish State archive in Simancas: The original request is in Latin. A translation in Spanish and a summary in this language was made for the King, but he refused help, because of many other churches under construction.

Summary
Kostel Nanebevzetí Panny Marie ve Staré Boleslavi byl postaven na místě staršího kostela v letech 1613–1623 stavitelem Jakubem de Vaccani snad podle návrhu Giovanniho Marii Filippiho. Jedním z nich se stal záměr vybudování poutního chrámu Panny Marie ve Staré Boleslavi.“ Práce na kostele byly zahájeny přímo v místě původního farního kostela v roce 1613.2. Václava v Praze na Proseku k chrámu Nanebevzetí Panny Marie ve Staré Boleslavi. Z jedné pozdější zprávy se dovídáme, že kanovník Zbudko vybudoval roku 1098 v Boleslavi kostel Panny Marie a sv. Ve sledu kaplí na epištolní straně (vlevo od oltáře, počínaje od vchodu) se nacházejí jako první Morzinská kaple, zasvěcená Neposkvrněnému početí Panny Marie s obrazem na tento námět z konce 17. Jeho sluha Podiven sňal obrázek z Václavovy hrudi a stačil jej někam ukrýt před zneuctěním.
