Abstract

There is a cornucopia of writing about clinical supervision, with assertions about how important it is and how it ensures safe practice. There have been recommendations from the Allitt inquiry about its introduction, yet there is only the sketchiest information about how to do it and introduce it effectively within a trust to the satisfaction of both professional clinical staff and managers with an eye to the financial bottom line.
