Abstract

While ovarian tissue banking with subsequent transplantation is an effective strategy for preserving fertility, the process is relatively inefficient. We hypothesize that VEGF and inhibition of apoptosis with FTY720 may improve neovascularization and survival of ovarian tissue transplants in the rhesus macaque, and that the abdomen may be a better site for heterotopic transplantation than the arm.
