Abstract
In the history of all civilizations, women have played very vital role as their higher status and work performed by them in a society is a significant indicator of a nation’s overall wealth and progress. It refers to formation of a milieu for women where they can take decisions of their own or for their personal benefits as well as for the society. Women empowerment comprises social, economic, political and legal strength of women. Information Technology Industry helps the women to be socially and economically empowered. The women working in this industry are free from the female specificities. Are they more involved in the decision making at family and workplace? Do they have better access to resources irrespective of the earner? Does the gender matter at work place? Is the marital status has to do anything with women empowerment? Does the designation better reflect in empowerment? Does the age play any role in women empowerment?
