Abstract

The influence of electromagnetic ϱ 0- ω-mixing on the reactions πN → ω(N, Δ) is analysed. It is pointed out that “strong” violation of the isotopic symmetry is possible in these reactions if one assumes that the ϱ 0- ω interference in π ±N → π + π − (N, Δ) occurs predominantly between the ϱ 0 and ω production amplitudes with the π- and B-meson quantum numbers in the t-channel, respectively.
