Abstract
Rationale: In-patients' nutritional status often declines during hospitalization. This occurs due to multiple causes. An important cause is low food intake. Food intake monitoring is based on discrete observations of food intake reported in nursing records . The aim of this study was to check whether food intake, documented as discrete records, influences nutritional consultation and treatment.
