Abstract

This study analyzes the effects of social workers’ perceived role of board of directors on the organizational ethics in social welfare organizations. The study collected survey data from 393 social workers working at community centers. It conducts hierarchical regression analysis to control the effects of respondents’ individual characteristics and organizational leaders on the organizational ethics. The results show that the board of directors has positive effects on organizational ethics in social welfare organizations: ethical value (△R2 .488, p<.000), ethics regulation (△R2 .362, p<.000), and code of conduct (△R2 .367, p<.000).
