Abstract

Background: There is a trend for more conservative surgical approaches in breast cancer (BC), partly due to improvements in therapeutic options, including neoadjuvant chemotherapy (NC). However, postoperative complications (PC) still occur and can result in prolonged recovery and delay of adjuvant therapy. There have been controversial reports regarding the effect of NC on PC after BC surgery.
