Abstract

Background: Management of the primary tumour site in patients with metastatic breast cancer remains controversial. There is mounting evidence that locoregional therapy (LRT), defined, as resection of the primary tumour and/or localised radiotherapy, could be associated with survival improvements. We aimed to conduct a meta-analysis to inform decision-making.
