Abstract
Abstract Attendees at the 2023 Penn State SETI Symposium participated in a workshop series entitled “The Moral Relevance of Intelligence in the Search for Extraterrestrial Life.” This breakout series focused interdisciplinary dialogs on the role intelligence plays in the search for extraterrestrials. A moderated inquiry took place over the course of two days, resulting in a Guiding Statement on Extraterrestrial Intersections in support of interdisciplinary, ethics-informed engagement and research related to the search for extraterrestrials.
