Abstract
Key Points Despite being increasingly encountered in contemporary real‐world practice, due to a global aging of population, frail patients tend to be excluded from large clinical trials, so the impact of frailty on clinical outcomes is often underestimated. Frailty described by the Hospital Frailty Risk Score is associated with high readmission rate, increased healthcare source utilization and lower percutaneous coronary intervention treatment. Further studies are needed to understand if hospital frailty score could provide a prediction model for adverse outcomes, risk‐benefit assessments of interventions, allowing for goal‐oriented care of patients with STEMI.
