Abstract
To conduct a concert of CoC bond cleavage and subsequent H-atom abstraction may be the role of cob(II)alamin in coenzyme B12 dependent mutases (see picture, Ado=adenosyl). Evidence is presented on the basis of DFT analysis that these reactions are concerted and that the radicals generated during the catalytic process are stabilized by the presence of corrin.
