Abstract
Long-term studies using plain radiographs have demonstrated high rate of osteoarthritis despite surgical reconstruction following ACL injuries. Quantitative MR imaging using T1rho has been shown to enable early diagnosis of cartilage degeneration. Our hypothesis is that quantitative T1rho MR imaging can detect cartilage degeneration at one year following ACL injuries and reconstructions.
