Does ABE Journal need a rethink? “Early modern” and “modern” in the study of imperial / colonial architecture

At present ABE Journal is limited to publishing scholarship dealing with the “nineteenth century onwards”. Although I am on the journal’s Editorial Board, I have long questioned this limitation.
