Abstract
Workforce focus is one of the Baldrige Award's criteria, and it consists of two factors: workforce environment and workforce engagement. This study develops unit-level measures of workforce environment and workforce engagement and tests whether they affect two important outcomes, namely, intent to quit and unit sales per customer. Using a time-lagged research design, the results show that workforce environment and workforce engagement lead to unit results.
