Abstract

A novel method for high resolution direction-of-arrival (DOA) estimation is proposed. The novel approach constructs the spatial spectrum by utilizing the noise subspace, which is updated by stable and robust subspace tracking algorithm. A practical method for the DOA estimation of coherent signals is also presented, which utilizes the symmetric conjugate vector in direct data domain. Compared to the conventional method, the proposed approach is a practical method for real-time DOA estimation of coherent signals with low computational complexity.
