Abstract

ABSTRACTIn this paper, a new method, namely double spatial covariance difference (DSCD), is presented for DOA estimation of uncorrelated and coherent signals in time varying noise environments. In the proposed method, the effect of the noise is eliminated and therefore DSCD can be used in general noise, as well as low SNR environments. In addition, computational burden has been reduced regarding to no use of parameter and peak search or iterative calculation. Simulation results demonstrate the performance of the proposed method.
