Abstract

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is trying to keep vaping companies from advertising to children, but the companies know this is a hot market for them. Nicotine, plentiful in vaping products, is extremely addictive. Young people do not want to be told what to do. Vaping has appeal for them, especially when the flavors are clearly made for them. It's reminiscent of combustible cigarette marketing attempts to get new audiences, such as Virginia Slims for women.
