Abstract
Medically inoperable non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC) patients considered for definitive treatment with stereotactic body radiotherapy (SBRT) are typically staged using positron emission tomography (PET). The presence of malignancy is associated with a PET standardized uptake values (SUV) threshold >2.5. This study seeks to determine whether patterns of failure are associated with “intermediate” SUVs measured in hilar or mediastinal lymph nodes and that may represent inflammation and not malignancy.
