Abstract

This chapter describes “Rainbow Ministry” and “Queer Ritual Practice,” two sets of practices that have marked the author’s career in Catholic secondary education and social justice ministry, his present role as a doctoral student in a Catholic theological institution, and his personal relationship with Catholicism. Drawing upon his experiences as a student leader and upon his partner’s practice of wearing a rainbow pin to Catholic liturgies, the author highlights the ways in which these and kindred practices create space for what he names the work of the Holy Spirit.
