Abstract

AbstractThe self‐assembly yield of DNA nanostructures can be exponentially lower with increasing structural complexity. Few optimizing strategies are available in the DNA nanotechnology field for the assembly yield improvement. Here, betaine and its analogs are applied as supplementary ingredients in DNA self‐assembly. Such a simple implementation results in effective yield improvement. Through a comprehensive investigation, a reliable yield improvement of two‐ to threefold is achieved for a number of DNA nanostructures with considerable complexity.
