Abstract

Abstract Artificial prosthetic groups tethering a polyamine moiety at the terminal of two peripheral heme–propionate side chains as a molecular interface were inserted into apocytochrome b562 to provide positively charged reconstituted hemoproteins, which exhibit a strong binding with double-stranded DNA.
