Abstract

AbstractAs an uplink modulation technique, orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) has been utilized by the fifth generation (5G) mobile communication. In this paper, we propose a DFT-based channel estimation method based on demodulation reference signals (DMRS), which has been stipulated in the LTE physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH). In order to reduce the edge distortion caused by the Gibbs phenomenon in DFT-based scheme, an improved scheme based on extended effective bandwidth (EEB) has been proposed. It is demonstrated that, the EEB-based scheme has better performance than the DFT-based scheme under multipath fading channel according to the computer simulation.KeywordsOFDMMIMOChannel estimationCyclic shiftDMRS5G uplinkDFTGibbs phenomenon
