Abstract

Two main choices are part of the international strategy of the firm : « make of buy » on one hand, location of the production on the other. The « ownership advantages » point of view is a useful tool in order to deal with the internationalization of production. International Sub-Contracting has not yet been studied as a specific phenomenon. The paper gives an empirical evidence of the relocation of ownership advantages and of the extension of Sub-Contracting pratices in the case of the automotive industry oligopoly.
